Don’t I have to wait until Open Enrollment?

HealthCare.gov https://www.healthcare.gov/, the federal governments health insurance marketplace, has started a special enrollment
period currently until June 30, 2020. You may also be eligible for ACCESS Florida, Florida’s free or
low-cost Medicaid health insurance program, and can apply at anytime.

How do I enroll?

Apply directly on ACCESS Florida, website. Once you start the application, you’ll either qualify for
low-cost or no-cost Medi-Cal, or have the option to choose from specific health plans offered
through ACCESS Florida, often with financial help to pay your premium.


Make sure you have following information ready for the speediest application process:

 SSNs for household members that have one
 Employer and income information (i.e. pay stubs or proof of unemployment)
 Last federal tax return filed by head of household and estimate of current household
income

You already have existing Covered ACCESS Florida or insurance through The Health Insurance Marketplace, but you’re worried about meeting your premiums due to job loss or loss of hours?
Make sure you go to https://www.healthcare.gov/have-coverage/ and report the
change.

You may be eligible for free or lower cost care through ACCESS Florida or additional financial
assistance to help with your existing plan premiums.
